Gazing At the Night Skies

I was drawn like a magnet to the balcony to gaze at the night skies.. . It was beautiful beyond description, too majestic for words indeed.  My eyes couldn’t take it all in… It was a full moon and I could get a glimpse of it through a layer of clouds,  The halo of the moon was adding a splash of colour to the clouds marking its presence.  As the clouds were getting finer, the moon began to surface rapidly ascending, until it was completely visible showing off, boasting of its brightness in fullness.

Yet suddenly a dark heavy pretty large cloud decided to do exactly that – cloud the way!  The moon wasn’t to be seen.  It seemed forever that this moon was hidden, and I kept straining my neck.

God is giving us a reminder…

When the trials and troubles around us are light, we may not see Gods’ presence fully.. we may get just a glimpse of it where He leaves little signs and perhaps wonders like the moon’s halo was marking its presence on the clouds.  He reminds us that He is indeed there through the trials and troubles.

Yet sometimes when the trials and troubles are dark and depressing, when they feel like they are overwhelming and deep, and there forever, God is still very much there… From where you stand you may not see it as your cloud is concealing it yet someone else from their location, from where they are at may be able to see God crystal clear.  Yet it doesn’t change the fact that God is still there in His glory…  He wants us to keep straining our necks to see Him, pursue Him, let Him take our burdens away or carry us on eagles wings through the storms..  He will but He wants us to still know that He is there, and for us to seek Him, press into Him.. even if we don’t perceive or see in the natural realm that He is there…

No matter what the natural realm tells you, He wants you to know, to believe that He is indeed there, that His presence will never leave you.. To believe means to act upon it – it’s not just head knowledge, it’s then  HEART knowledge.  Yes, you can cry but that will last only for the night and joy comes in the morning when you have the HEART knowledge of His love, His grace, His mercy, His embrace, His compassion…

No cloud that clouds your vision can ever take away His presence.

No darkness can rid of God’s light…

No cloud can ever stay put either – it will pass… no matter how long or big or overwhelming that it may seem, it will indeed pass.. In it’s time it will pass away.

As you wait upon Him amidst the dark clouds, you will indeed get His revelation.. in due time!

Take heart, oh beloved brother and sister… take heart.  His presence is always there even if you have stumbled or failed.. He will never love you any the less.  He formed you in your mother’s womb, He knitted each part together.. He saw your unformed body…  All He wants from you is a LOVE relationship.. He wants intimacy with you…  A broken and contrite heart He will NEVER despise, but pride comes before a fall.  He wants you to let go of your pride and know that you do indeed need Him.  If you know that, you will indeed strain your neck and go to all lengths to pursue Him, to soak in His loe even if you can’t see Him or perceive Him.

Leave the natural realm and ask Him to strengthen your spiritual eyes.

The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble. And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. – Psalm 9:10

The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God; God is in none of his thoughts.    His ways are always prospering; Your judgments are far above, out of his sight; – Psalm 10:4

Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near – Isaiah 55:6
