It was a steep cliff.. and on top of that cliff standing majestically was a fort. The waves of the ocean far below faded in the presence of this fort in its lush green settings. Bright light surrounded it as if the sun was competing to get attention. Reaching this fort wouldn’t be an easy task to say the least, making me wonder how it was even possible. Yet PEACE and SECURITY were all I could think of despite and in midst of the SCALING.
As I reflect on the vision of the earlier hours of this morning, a couple of verses pop into mind as RHEMA words (not as a LOGOs word). The Rhema word is a promise for those who are scaling today, scaling in obedience to HIM and walking along His paths.
The 2nd chapter of Joel especially leaps out as the Rhema word not in context of what Joel writes in terms of the day of the Lord.
Like warriors they charge; like soldiers they scale the wall.
They march each on his way; they do not swerve from their paths.
They do not jostle one another; each marches in his path;
they burst through the weapons and are not halted.
…… The Lord answered and said to his people,
“Behold, I am sending to you grain, wine, and oil, and you will be satisfied – Joel 2:7.8, 19
As we keep scaling the CLIFF of mounting obstacles, He sends the blessings of satisfaction.. of contentment..
Oh, how abundant is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you and worked for those who take refuge in you, in the sight of the children of mankind! – Psalm 31:19
He is a gracious God.. if you stumble turn to Him, He is waiting to embrace YOU nonetheless.. And as we keep scaling the cliff, we will reach Him, our strong tower, our refuge..
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble – Psalm 46:1
The enemy will try to be like the radiating sun scorching you and depleting of your energy. But the Holy Spirit will shine on you and make you radiant.. His fire will lead you and burn the schemes of the enemy.
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
…..but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. – Psalm 1:1-3
(Now after Christ’s work on the cross our delight is not in the law but in loving God and following the leading of the Holy Spirit with the grace given because of Jesus Christ who is the Word!).
Keep scaling, keep loving HIM and eacho ther.. and enter His strong tower, a place of refuge, peace and provision!!
